Lions bounce back with win against Albany Friday

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Christian Lions football team defeated Albany Friday night to win its second game of the season.

The Lions defeated the Warriors, 54-14, in Grand River Conference action.

SJC scored first to take a 6-0 lead, but Albany responded later in the first with a touchdown and a two-point conversion to take the lead, 8-6. The Lions marched down and scored on their next drive to retake the lead 12-8.

SJC led by four at the end of the first, 12-8, and allowed just six points the rest of the game.

The Lions' 54-14 victory moves them to 2-2 on the season. Albany falls to 2-2 on the year.
