Annual Coffee Crawl to promote and raise funds for The Dance Arts Performing Company

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The 8th Annual Downtown Saint Joseph Coffee Crawl, also known as "The Nutcracker Crawl," will promote and raise funds for The Dance Arts Performing Company's holiday production of The Nutcracker.

The crawl will go from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Art Attack Studio, located at 218 South 8th St.

The coffee crawl has grown to include 18 Downtown businesses, each featuring their own unique twist on a wide array of specialty coffees, from aromatic espressos to flavored lattes and tea. The drinks are based on the holiday classic, with many shops having special treats and other activities.

Coffee Crawlers will get to meet their favorite Nutcracker characters, including Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Snow Queen, the evil Mouse Queen and the Nutcracker Princess, along with numerous other cast members.

Wristbands for The Nutcracker Coffee Crawl are $15 per person and can be purchased in advance from any cast member, at The Dance Arts Center, located at 1902 Jules St., online at Eventbrite.com or on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Art Attack Studio.

The Nutcracker will be performed live at the Historic Missouri Theater with two shows: one at 2 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

Proceeds from the Coffee Crawl will help the Dance Arts Performing Company offset theater rental, choreography, props, music and other production costs.
