Flood Warning issued October 2 at 10:09AM CDT until October 5 at 11:21AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…
Missouri…

Missouri River at Atchison affecting Atchison, Buchanan and Platte
Counties.

…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Kansas…
Missouri…

Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Doniphan, Buchanan and Andrew
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Missouri River at St Joseph.

* WHEN…Until Monday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding upstream and downstream
from St. Joseph occurs. At 19.0 feet, Backwater from the Missouri
River floods property along the Nodaway river at Nodaway, Missouri.
At 21.0 feet, Riverfront Park in St. Joseph begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 20.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.2 feet
this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
