InspireU offers complimentary memberships for St. Joseph Schools District kindergartners

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Mosaic Life Care Foundation said it recently received a gift for its inspireU Children's Discovery Center to provide each kindergarten family in the St. Joseph School District with an annual family membership.

The memberships are valid through Aug. 31, 2027, and provide unlimited visits to inspireU for two adults and up to four children from the same household.

The facility aims to foster physical health, mental wellness and educational enrichment.

In a news release, the MLC Foundation extended thanks to Lowell and Leslie Kruse for their commitment to building healthy communities for generations to come.

"Early brain development is critical to the lifetime of success of every child and ultimately essential to the economic vitality of our community," Lowell Kruse said. "inspireU is dedicated to giving every child the activities that add to the experiences they must have during their early years."

Kruse retired from Heartland Health, now Mosaic Health System, as CEO in 2009. Since then, he has been the Senior Fellow of Healthy Communities at the MLC Foundation.

The inspireU Children's Discovery Center, located at 521 Felix St., features over 20 core exhibits, a rooftop exploratorium, interactive play areas and educational spaces for children ages birth to 10 and their families.
