ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- Proposition K, also known as “Prop K for Kids,” will be on the Nov. 3 ballot.

It’s the last option on the back of Buchanan County ballots and proposes a quarter-cent sales tax to fund children’s mental health services in the county.

The tax would create a children’s services fund, giving Buchanan County residents a way to invest in the future of local children.

“So we are taking this small sales tax and investing it in future generations to continue to grow and  prosper the county as a whole,” said Danielle Brown, CEO of the YWCA.
