HARRISON COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Bethany, Missouri, man is seriously injured after his motorcycle traveled off the road on Route W Sunday evening.

The 62-year-old, driving a 2004 Harley-Davidson Fatboy, was northbound on Route W, south of west 210th Street, when he topped the hillcrest and failed to negotiate the curve in the road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The driver traveled off the east side of the roadway and lost control. The motorcycle went into a skid and came to rest on its left side in a drainage ditch facing south.

The man was transported by North Missouri EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
