Plattsburg baseball announces Field of Dreams game against Maysville

PLATTSBURG, Mo. (KQTV) -- Two northwest Missouri high school baseball teams will head to Iowa in April to play on one of the country’s most famous fields.

The Plattsburg baseball account on X announced Monday afternoon that the Tigers will play the Maysville Wolverines in Dyersville, Iowa, at the Field of Dreams ballfield.

The field was built for the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams,” starring Kevin Costner. Over the years, it has become a tourist attraction, and Major League Baseball has played games at the site.

Plattsburg and Maysville will play Friday, April 30, 2027.
