Joe Town Speedway confirms business is for sale

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Joe Town Speedway may soon change hands, according to the listing and confirmation from current ownership.

Joe Town Speedway, located at 5328 North Belt Highway behind a KFC, is seeking a new owner, according to current ownership partners Joe Lane and Rick Gilmore. The two didn't give specific reasons for selling the business and property; however, they said it is for sale and ready for a new owner.

Jim Barnett Auction Service listed the business for an online sale at an undisclosed price. The auction was listed for closure on October 26; no confirmation that the property was definitely sold was provided.

Lane and Gilmore recently confirmed the purchase of Volleys, which saw closure over the summer. That outdoor venue is set to reopen in April of 2027.

The duo also owns and oversees Ricky Dean's, Cool Crest Mini-Golf, and Joe Town Mini-Golf.
