ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Missouri Theater officials will host another round of guided tours for interested participants.

The tours will take place at 2 and 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, and at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

"Whether you've been in the theater once or dozens of times, you are sure to see something different or learn something new that you've not seen before," said Lori McAlister, Centennial Celebration Series Chair.

Frank Polleck, a long-time theater tech, will kick off each tour with an introduction in the lobby, then a docent will lead the tour through the auditorium and across the mezzanine.

Knowledgeable theater devotees include retired Director of the Performing Arts Association Beth Sharp, McAlister, who is also the former Saint Joseph Symphony Manager and PAA Administrative Assistant Karl Wellenkoetter.

Tours are free, and there is no minimum number required to participate and reservations are not required but are encouraged, especially for groups of five or more.

For more information, email CelebrationSeries2027@gmail.com or phone Committee Chair Lori McAlister at 402-802-2099.

The tours are presented by the Centennial Celebration Series (CCS) Committee in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of City Hall and the Missouri Theater in 2027.
