ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — Curiosity was on full display this weekend as Super Science Saturday returned to MoWest’s campus, drawing over 900 families for a day of interactive discovery and learning.
The annual event, a partnership between the university and St. Joseph Museums, featured dozens of hands-on stations where children could engage with a wide spectrum of scientific fields.
From anatomy and geology to physics, computer science, and animal biology, the event made learning a dynamic, hands-on adventure.
Organizers emphasize that the program goes beyond textbook learning, equipping children with practical knowledge that can last a lifetime.
“Kids will learn all about different types of sciences, what makes the world go around, what they will encounter in real life,” said Sarah Ben-Ezra, Collections Manager for St. Joseph Museums. “We have the Missouri Western State University’s nursing program teaching people about CPR and how to save someone’s life. We also have computer science and cybersecurity. Learning about what signs to look for to make yourself safe on the internet.”
The event serves as a fundraiser for the St. Joseph Museums, providing essential support for their educational programs and museum upkeep.
