The St. Joseph School District is getting ready for its next Board of Education meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph School Board will talk about the temporary striping at Central High School's track as well as the district's network upgrade at its meeting Monday evening.

Construction and weather delays have kept Central's track from being competition-ready through temporary striping. The district needed to make this change to allow for a chance for the area to be ready ahead of the spring track and field season.

Board members will also talk about the district’s network upgrade project through E-Rate.

E-Rate is part of the Universal Service Fund and helps schools and libraries across the country get affordable internet and telecommunications services.

Looking ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, the plan is to replace wired and wireless network equipment in most school buildings.

However, Lake, Mark Twain, Hillyard Technical Center and Webster won’t be included in the project because they don’t qualify for the program.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 at the Troester Media Center.

KQ2 will update this article.
