Squaw Creek Chapter of Delta Waterfowl to host annual conservtion fundraising banquet

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Squaw Creek Chapter of Delta Waterfowl will host its annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, March 7, at the St. Joseph Premier Event Center.

The event brings together conservationists, outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and community supporters for an evening dedicated to wetlands conservation, youth programs and the future of waterfowl habitat in Northwest Missouri.

The banquet will have a catered meal by Chad Pinzino BBQ, along with a silent and live auction, prize drawing, raffle and games.

Proceeds from the event will support funding for:

  • Local high school shooting sports teams
  • Support for Big Muddy Youth Duck Hunt
  • Two conservation scholarships to students at Missouri Western State University and Northwest Missouri State University
  • Programs that support ducks on their breeding grounds, ensuring stronger nesting success and healthier future populations
  • Local habitat and wetlands conservation initiatives.

"Our banquet is more than just a fundraiser; it’s about investing directly into our local community while also protecting the future of waterfowl across North America,” said Tim Larson, chapter representative. “From supporting youth hunters and student conservation leaders to protecting breeding habitat and wetlands, every dollar raised makes a real, lasting impact.”

Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner begins at 7 p.m.
