House fire at 3rd and Linn in Union Star

UNION STAR, Mo. (KQTV) -- One home was lost at the intersection of 3rd and Linn Street on Thursday evening, according to the Union Star Fire Department.

Emergency services received a call around 5:00 p.m. on March 19 of a fire that officials stated started on the front porch and made its way up the home and into the attic. Officials also shared that no one who was in the home at the time was injured; one firefighter from the Cosby-Helena District was treated for possible heat exhaustion.

Responding services included Union Star Fire Department, Cosby-Helena Fire Department, King City Fire Department, Grand River Ambulance District and the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
