Tracking a warm & sunny Wednesday

Good morning and happy Wednesday. As you head out the door, temperatures are significantly warmer than yesterday, starting in the 50s this morning. Temperatures will continue to climb throughout the day, with highs reaching the upper 80s — close to 90 degrees — under mostly sunny skies.

We’re seeing a bit of cloud cover early this morning, but that will clear as the day goes on. A southerly breeze at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, will help bring in these warmer conditions through today and into tomorrow.

By Thursday, temperatures climb back into the upper 80s and low 90s, with breezy conditions continuing ahead of an approaching cold front. That front is expected to move through just after lunchtime. As it passes, winds will shift out of the north, bringing in cooler air along with a chance for light rain and possibly a brief rumble of thunder Thursday evening through early Friday morning.

The biggest impact from this system will be the temperature change. We’ll drop from the upper 80s and low 90s on Thursday to the mid-50s by Friday.

Temperatures begin to rebound into the low 60s Saturday under mostly sunny skies, then climb into the mid-70s by Sunday.

Another chance for thunderstorms arrives early next week, from Monday afternoon into Tuesday.
