2 candidates file for MO State Representative District 9 seat

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KQTV) — Two candidates have filed for the Missouri State House of Representative District 9 seat.

According to the Missouri Secretary of State's office, Republican Rep. Dean VanSchoiack (R-District 9) is running for re-election in District 9. He will not have an opponent in the August primary.

On the Democratic side of the race, Gena Puckett (Stewartsville) has filed to run for the District 9 seat. Puckett filed for candidacy on Tuesday, March 31, the final day to file, and will not have an opponent in the August primary.
