Veale, McMillian win two open St. Joseph school board seats

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- The 2026 St. Joseph General Municipal election results are in, and the St. Joseph School District’s two open seats will now be filled by Cassandra Veale and Jacob McMillian.  

Cassandra Veale received the most votes with 3,954 (22.7%). Jacob McMillian received 3,384 (19.06%).  

Other candidates, like Reid Barnett, received 2,600 votes (14.65%). Kimberly Dragoo had 2,108 votes and Travis Smith ended up with 1,987 votes.  

Cynthia Cook had 1,918 and Deborah Schmuck with 1,750 votes (9.86).  

McMillian and Veale will be sworn in on April 13 School Board meeting.
