ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- Missouri Western State University will present a range of video projects at two film festivals on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30 pm in the Kemper Recital Hall and Friday, May 1 at the Trail Theater in downtown, St. Joseph.

The MoWest Cronkite Film Festival focuses on showcasing newscasts, sportscasts, and a variety of other works sponsored by the Department of Communication.

Films were created by digital videography, social media branding, multimedia storytelling, and Griffon Media classes throughout the school year.

The Griffon Film Festival will showcase a wide range of creative projects produced by cinematic arts and digital animation students over the past academic year.  

They will feature short narrative films and commercials to public service announcements, experimental pieces, industrial/educational films, traditional animation, 3D animation and student-designed games.  

Doors open at 5 p.m. for a meet-and-greet and red carpet photo opportunities. The first 100 attendees will also receive a free bag of popcorn.
