Ace Hardware, Salvation Army teaming up for fundraiser

ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV) -- Two local organizations are partnering to provide fans for families and individuals in need during the summer months.

The 2026 Salvation Army Fan Drive is taking place this week all across the nation. Several Ace Hardware stores are helping with the fundraiser.

Customers at Ace Hardware can round up their totals to help purchase fans from the Salvation Army, which will go to people who need them during the summer heat.

"Our customers are the real heroes," Westlake Ace Hardware General Manager Mark Sidwell said. "They're the ones that will allow us to help the Salvation Army and allow them to help others in need."

In 2025, St. Joseph citizens helped provide over 60 fans for people without them.

The fundraiser is open through Saturday, June 6.
