Tracking fall-like temperatures

Fall arrives Tuesday with a cool, cloudy and foggy start across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.

Patchy fog and areas of drizzle will stick around through much of Tuesday morning before conditions gradually improve this afternoon. Highs will stay in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Wednesday will be dry with partly clearing skies and temperatures warming into the 70s. Thursday will remain mild, but rain chances return late Thursday night.

Rain chances increase Friday and continue into the weekend. A few thunderstorms could develop Saturday night, but widespread severe weather is not currently expected.

Temperatures will gradually warm through the weekend, with highs returning to around 80 degrees by Sunday and Monday.
