ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A standout Central boys volleyball player will have one more chance to take the court in high school next weekend.

Central's outsider hitter Avery Whiteman has been named to the MSHSAA Class 2 All-State volleyball team.

Whiteman helped lead Central to a 29-7-1 record, a conference championship, district title and Class 2 Quarterfinals appearance.

He has been invited to play in the Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association's All-State game next Saturday in Columbia.
