Maryville Parks & Recreation hosts Concerts in the Park series

MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) -- Maryville Parks & Recreation is preparing to host its Concert in the Park series, featuring several area bands.

The series, starts Saturday, June 13, and is a free event for all ages.

Due to the rain, the June 13 event is being moved to 7 p.m. at Hughes Fieldhouse.

No outside food, drink, coolers or alcohol will be allowed. Hughes Fieldhouse is a tobacco, smoke and vape-free facility. Hy-vee will be catering the event, but is cash only.

Bands will start playing at 7 p.m. at Donaldson West Side Park.

The first band will be a feature of pop covers by The Champagne. While enjoying the live music, attendees will be able to participate in games, inflatables, face painting and enjoy food.

In the future, bands will start playing at 7 p.m. at Donaldson West Side Park.

Pistol Creek, a band featuring country music covers, will perform on July 25.

Surfin' Safari, performing Beach Boy covers, will conclude the series on Aug. 8.

Maryville Parks and Recreation recommends bringing a chair or blanket and enjoying the live music.
