Tracking a Cloudy and Cool Tuesday

The first day of fall starts Tuesday and it will definitely feel like fall across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. Cooler air has moved into the area as a strong cold front has moved to the south of the region giving us clouds and much cooler air for the week.

We will start the morning on the cool side with temperatures in the middle 50s. There will be plenty of clouds around the area and much of the day we will see those stay with us and that will help keep us from the warming temperatures.

By the afternoon, highs should only reach into the upper 60s, which is a big change from the summer like warmth we've had at times lately.

The good news is that Tuesday is looking mainly dry. Any lingering shower chance from Monday night should move out, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies through the afternoon.
