CALDWELL COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 21-year-old man from Breckenridge, Missouri, is seriously injured following a crash on Old Highway 36.

The crash occurred around 10:58 a.m. on Tuesday on Old Highway 36, just one mile west of Breckenridge.

The 21-year-old driver of a 2010 Nissan was southbound on Panther Road, and the 64-year-old male driver of a 1990 Freightliner was westbound on Old Highway 36.

The Nissan failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the path of the freightliner, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol in a crash report.

The front of the Freightliner struck the passenger side of the Nissan, and after impact, the Nissan traveled off the South side of the roadway and overturned.

The Nissan came to rest on its wheels off the roadway and the Freightliner came to rest facing East in the eastbound lanes of Old Highway 36.

The 21-year-old was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Liberty Hospital.
