Woman dies after being struck by vehicle Thursday night

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- One woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night at Dewey and Highland avenues.

The St. Joseph Police Department said it responded to the crash around 9:45 p.m. Thursday. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.

SJPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the crash and said no additional information will be released at this time.

Since the crash, SJPD said the road has been reopened to traffic.
