Over 10K Evergy customers without power in Northwest Missouri, Northeast Kansas

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Evergy customers across the Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas regions are dealing with power outages as a result of Saturday morning storms.

Approximately 10,130 customers are without power as of 1:25 p.m. Saturday.

Evergy said crews are continuing to work as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power across the region.

Evergy also responded to downed power lines near Waterworks Road and McArthur Drive Saturday morning that left thousands of residents without power.

Evergy warned to stay at least 30 feet away from downed power lines. Assume all downed lines are energized.
