HOLT COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 27-year-old man from Twinburg, Ohio, was seriously injured in a crash on northbound Interstate 29, just four miles east of Corning, Missouri.

The crash occurred as the driver of the 2016 Ford Fusion was northbound on I-29 when it traveled off the west side of the roadway onto the grass median.

The undercarriage of the vehicle struck an emergency crossover and became airborne, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The front bumper of the vehicle struck the ground, and the vehicle continued northbound through the grass median and began overturning.

The driver was ejected, and the vehicle came to rest on its roof facing west, partially on the east shoulder of southbound I-29 and partially in the grass median.

The man was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the crash report, and was transported by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District.
