Chiefs Training Camp 2026: What you need to know
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Chiefs training camp has started at MoWest, and fans across the area are welcoming the team back to St. Joseph. Here are some things to know before you head out to support the team.
All training camp practices are ticketed events, with no general admission available. Fans must secure tickets exclusively online through the Chiefs' official Ticketmaster portal. Season Ticket Members gain early access starting June 16th. A limit of six tickets per practice applies, with fans able to reserve tickets for a maximum of three separate sessions. While the majority of practices remain free to the public, the team has designated three paid admission dates, August 1st, August 7th, and August 8th, with tickets priced at $7 each. Children ages three and younger are admitted free of charge. Season Ticket Members will have exclusive access to practices on July 29th and August 11th, though the July 29th session is already sold out.
Officials will enforce the NFL Clear Bag Policy at all training camp sessions. Permitted bags are limited to clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags not exceeding 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches; one-gallon clear freezer bags; and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Medically necessary items will be allowed after proper inspection. Prohibited items include glass or metal containers, coolers of any size, alcohol, weapons, fireworks, banners or flags larger than 3 feet by 5 feet, professional cameras with lenses exceeding 6 inches, drones, selfie sticks, and noisemakers. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited, and pets are not permitted with the exception of service animals. Fans may bring autographed items such as helmets or footballs, though these are subject to additional screening. Video recording of any kind is strictly prohibited, while still photography is permitted for personal use only.
On-campus general parking is available in Lots H, J, K, and B at a cost of $8 per day, with advance purchase encouraged. Accessible parking is located in Lot H. Tailgating is permitted prior to practice, but fans are limited to one parking space per vehicle, and alcohol remains prohibited in all university parking lots. On-site amenities include restrooms, concessions, a Chiefs Pro Shop, bleacher and hillside seating, and a First Aid tent staffed by Mosaic Life Care. A private nursing lounge with air conditioning and essential supplies will also be available. Mobility carts will be stationed in Lot H for guests requiring assistance.
Practices are conducted outdoors and are subject to summer heat and humidity. Fans are strongly advised to stay hydrated, apply sunscreen, and wear light, loose-fitting clothing, with misting tents available on-site. In the event of lightning or severe weather, practices may be moved indoors to the on-campus facility. Due to space limitations, fans are not permitted to view indoor practices. Tickets for cancelled or relocated sessions will not be refunded, though fans may attempt to secure tickets for another available practice date. For paid admission days, a make-up date will be provided in lieu of refunds. Gates open 30 minutes prior to the scheduled practice start time and close 30 minutes after practice concludes.
