Weatherby man seriously injured in single-vehicle crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 50-year-old Weatherby, Missouri, man is seriously injured after being involved in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning.

The crash occurred around 4:05 a.m. along Missouri Route 6 and Northeast Cook Road, two miles west of Weatherby.

The driver of the 2012 Honda Pilot was eastbound on Missouri Route 6 and traveled off the south side of the roadway. The vehicle crossed over Cook Road and struck a stop sign.

After the initial impact, the vehicle struck an embankment and came to an uncontrolled stop, facing west, on its wheels in the embankment on the south side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The man was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by DeKlab-Clinton EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
