DHSS offers financial assistance to help breastfeeding employees

MISSOURI (KQTV) -- The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, in partnership with the Missouri Breastfeeding Coalition, is offering financial assistance to help Missouri worksites create or improve breastfeeding accommodations.

The organizations are offering up to $500 to help with the effort.

Funding may be used to improve lactation spaces, update workplace policies and strengthen workplace support.

Application and breastfeeding support policies are due Aug. 22. Award notifications will be issued by Aug. 27, and funded expenses must be completed and submitted for reimbursement by Sept. 25.
