Tarkio man, Omaha woman face multiple charges after police respond to shots-fired call

ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Two suspects were taken into custody following a shots-fired call in Tarkio, Missouri, on Monday, and now face multiple charges following the incident.

According to a news release from the Atchison County Sheriff's Office, both the sheriff's office and the Tarkio Police Department were dispatched to a shots-fired call in the south alley of the 500 block of Vine St. in Tarkio on Monday, Aug. 31.

Upon arrival, investigators located a pickup truck with multiple bullet holes and shell casings in the alley.

Both 61-year-old Ricky Farber of Tarkio and 68-year-old Kathryn Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska, were found in the 400 block of Broad St. Both subjects were arrested without further incident and are now facing multiple charges.

Farber is being held on a $25,000 bond on armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine) charges.

Johnson is being held on a $7,500 bond on possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine) charges.

Farber made his initial appearance in an Atchison County, Missouri, court Tuesday. He has a bond review hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 8.

An initial appearance has not yet been scheduled for Johnson.
