Individual arrested after altercation at Hamilton ball field

HAMILTON, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Caldwell County deputy responded Saturday morning to an altercation at the Hamilton School football field in Hamilton, MO.

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department says a 38-year-old man from Cameron, Missouri, brandished a firearm and threatened to kill several people during the altercation.

The man left the scene but was stopped by an on-duty deputy near North Gallatin and 8th Street in Hamilton.

He was arrested with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and remains in custody at the Caldwell County Detention Center.
