Savannah seeks public input on proposed outdoor court complex

SAVANNAH, Mo. (KQTV) — Savannah residents will have another opportunity to provide feedback on a proposed outdoor court complex as the city’s Parks Department and Park Board seek public input on the project.

The current proposal includes six tennis courts, four dedicated pickleball courts and a basketball court at the Savannah High School courts.

A second public input session is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5:30 p.m. in the chambers of the Clasbey Community Center.

Residents will have the opportunity to review the proposed design, ask questions and share feedback on features such as the number of courts, lighting, seating and a hitting wall.

Public comments will be included in the project’s Land and Water Conservation Fund grant application. The state considers public input when scoring grant applications.

Those unable to attend the meeting can submit comments by email to wakefield.hare@gmail.com by Oct. 22.

Organizers are encouraging anyone who plays tennis, pickleball or basketball in Savannah to participate in the process.
