Multiple suspects taken into custody following warrant execution near Skidmore

NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from local law enforcement to serve a high-risk warrant on a subject who was identified as armed and dangerous.

At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office, along with the St. Joseph Police Department, the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, executed the warrant at a location near Skidmore, Missouri.

SJPD said, due to the nature of the investigation and the potential threat posed by the subject, multiple agencies coordinated to ensure the safe and effective service of the warrant.

During the operation, multiple suspects were taken into custody in connection with an ongoing state and federal investigation.

SJPD said no additional details are being released at this time, as the investigation remains active.
