Minor injuries reported in shooting incident at Bartlett Park

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Police Department revealed one person suffered minor injuries in a shooting incident at Bartlett Park Tuesday.

SJPD said officers responded to 3099 Monterey St. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, to a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers learned that an underage party had been in the area and fired the shots. The individuals involved left the scene before officers arrived, according to a news release from SJPD.

The release also stated that an underage female reported minor injuries, but did not require medical treatment.

SJPD said the incident remains under investigation, and no additional information is being released at the time.
