Wanted Weston man arrested following Tuesday manhunt

WESTON, Mo. (KQTV) -- A wanted Weston, Missouri, man was arrested Wednesday morning following a 12-hour manhunt that ensued the day prior.

Michael A. Hull, 37, was arrested around 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, according to the Platte County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said Hull was taken into custody after it received information that Hull was at a residence in Weston.

Both the Sheriff's Office and the Weston Police Department assisted in taking Hull into custody.

The Tuesday manhunt in Weston closed schools in the West Platte School District for the day. Numerous Northwest Missouri law enforcement agencies assisted in the hunt.

Just before 6 p.m., law enforcement had to suspend the manhunt due to the intense heat.

Hull was originally wanted on a felony warrant after he fled from a traffic stop that caused a minor injury to a Weston Police Officer.

On Tuesday, Hull was seen on security camera footage with an alleged firearm.

Hull, who previously lived in a house on Cherry Street, was reported to be hiding in the residence, but was not found inside the residence when authorities received a search warrant to enter the home.
