BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Members of the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a Buchanan County home, which resulted in an arrest.

The Division, consisting of the Northwest Missouri Cybercrime Task Force, a task force officer from the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, and members of Homeland Security Investigations, executed the warrant Tuesday evening in the 10000 block of NE Route 6.

Authorities arrested a 26-year-old man who was part of a "lengthy and complex" investigation involving sexual misconduct with a child.

A news release from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office said electronic items and evidence were seized.

The suspect is currently in custody, and the case has been submitted to the Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for consideration of charges.
