ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- Riders, history enthusiasts and communities along the historic Pony Express Trail will come together for the 2026 National Pony Express Re-Ride.

The event will officially begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 15, when the Missouri Pony Express president opens the ceremony

The first rider is scheduled to depart from the Patee House in St. Joseph, Missouri, at 3 p.m.

The non-stop relay will conclude with the final rider arriving in Old Sacramento, California, at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.

Riders in authentic attire will carry a traditional mochila packed with 1,570 letters in a 1,900 plus mile journey.
