ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- "Welcome Chiefs" signs are returning, as local residents and businesses prepare for the return of the four-time Super Bowl champs on Missouri Western State University's campus.

Signs will be available to the public for free from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, while supplies last, at the Visitors Center at the East Hills Library, located at 502 N. Woodbine Road.

Those interested can also pick them up from noon to 5 p.m. at the St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau, located at 911 Frederick Ave.

There will be a limit of two signs per person on Thursday to allow as many residents and businesses as possible to have an opportunity to pick them up.

Any signs remaining after Thursday will be available during regular business hours at both locations. Regular hours for the East Hills Library Visitor's Center are: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Regular business hours for the CVB are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

"It always feels special once it's time for these signs to start going up," CVB Director of Communications and Marketing, Christian Mengal said. "When you factor in things like Mahomes being healthy again, Kelce committed to coming back with his every-increasing popularity, and a lot of new faces on the team, this has the potential to be one of the more well-attended camps we've seen in recent years.

The CVB recommends that people put out any saved signs from previous years to maximize the visibility of signs around town.

Chiefs Training Camp is set ot starts on July 29 for season ticketholders. Camp is open to the public on July 30.
