Nodaway County opens cooling centers for heat wave

NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Nodaway County has opened cooling stations around Maryville, Missouri, as temperatures continue to be extreme.

Monday, July 27, through Wednesday, July 29, temperatures are expected to be in the high 90s.

Due to the intense heat, Nodaway County has opened cooling stations that will be available during business hours of operation for public facilities.

The buildings that will be open are:

• Maryville Community Center: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Maryville Public Library: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Nodaway County Health Dept: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Nodaway County Senior Center: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• The Elks: Noon to 6 p.m.
