Finish the Story: Benton basketball teams look to bring home state titles this week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KQTV) — The Benton Cardinals basketball teams have a chance to bring home two state championships this week.

The Cardinals are competing in the Class 4 Boys and Girls State Final Four in Columbia, Mo.

The Benton girls take on Doniphan, the team who beat the Cardinals for the state championship last year, in the semifinals at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Mizzou Arena.

If the Cardinals win, they will play for the state title at 4 p.m. on Thursday. If Benton loses, it will be a third-place game on Thursday at 10 a.m.

As for the boys, the Cardinals will play Clayton on Friday at 10 a.m. in the semifinals. If they win, it's a state championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. If the Cardinals lose, they will place for third-place on Saturday at 10 a.m.
