Chick-fil-A gives to Pivotal Point through ‘cookies for a cause’

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A local chain restaurant concluded its ‘cookies for a cause campaign,’ giving back to a non-profit Thursday afternoon.

Jake Schenk, owner and operator of St. Joseph’s Chick-fil-A, emphasizes community involvement. Griffon Football players sometimes serve customers, and the latest action raised money for Pivotal Point Transitional Housing.

Pivotal Point has long supported individuals facing homelessness through faith-based housing and programs, which align with Schenk's values.

Schenk explained, “We chose to support Pivotal Point because of Rick Lipira's character and the impact Pivotal Point makes in the community. It’s rewarding to help just one more person build life skills and move forward in their journey, and we are grateful to be part of that process.”

Schenk and his team presented a $1,000 check to the non-profit, supporting its mission to help individuals regain stability.

Lipira and his team appreciate the unique care the nationally recognized chain location provides to their local community.

Lipira shared, “When Chick-fil-A recognizes what we do, and community members see our service, it means a lot. Some doubt our program’s approach, but our partnerships with Chick-fil-A, Jake, and Audra make it all possible.”
