Wreck on North Belt Highway sends four to Mosaic Life Care

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- An alleged failure to yield at the intersection of North Belt Highway and Northridge Road sent four individuals to the hospital on Friday afternoon, according to the St. Joseph Police Department.

The wreck happened around 3:30 pm when a vehicle attempted to turn east on Northridge Road to enter the Shoppes at North Village.

Police on the scene said the vehicle failed to time out the turn at a flashing yellow yield light and struck a vehicle traveling north on Belt Highway.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit and three individuals from the turning vehicle, which included its driver, were transported to Mosaic Life Care with undisclosed injuries.

The incident is still under investigation by the St. Joseph Police Department.
