MoWest alums Jake Giles, Tommy Buffington win 73rd annual St. Joseph Country Club Invitational Golf Tournament

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The 73rd annual St. Joseph Country Club Invitational Golf Tournament concluded on Saturday. The winners were a pair of MoWest alums, Jake Giles and Tommy Buffington. Buffington is also currently an assistant golf coach at MoWest.

"It's amazing. We grew up playing out here and Tommy coaches out here, so it just feels really good to win the horse race and the tournament, just unbelievable," said Giles.

"We got the lefty luck, we have similar games. I think we both think very similarly. We know what to say to each other, when it's going good and we know what to say to each other when it's going bad," said Buffington. "It's like a PGA Tour player caddie relationship, you gotta be buddies first."

It's the second time in the last three weekends that Giles and Buffington have won a tournament.
