ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Saturday night crash on northbound Interstate 29 at mile marker 46 in St. Joseph left two adults and a juvenile injured.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H reported the collision happened just before 9 p.m. when a 2025 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 56-year-old woman from Ottawa, Kansas, failed to yield to a stationary 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe stopped in the passing lane with its emergency lights on.

The Sentra struck the rear of the Tahoe, leaving both vehicles blocking the northbound passing lane.

All three involved—the woman and a 13-year-old boy from Ottawa, Kansas, who were in the Sentra, and the 54-year-old St. Joseph man driving the Tahoe—were transported to Mosaic Life Care with serious or moderate injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled. Blue Knight towed the Sentra, and Randy’s Towing of Gower removed the Tahoe.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
