Voices of the Past Cemetery Tour to be held in Fairport

FAIRPORT, Mo. (KQTV) -- The DeKalb County Historical Society will sponsor the Voices of the Past Cemetery Tour at a cemetery in Fairport, Missouri.

The free event will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Research through historical records will be provided on eight early pioneer families from the Fairport community.

Some of the presentations will include Civil War Veterans, business men, bankers, doctors and elected officials.

Volunteers dressed in period costumes will portray the individuals or will represent family members telling the stories.

Shade and seating will be available to participants.
