FAUCETT, Mo. (KQTV) -- East Buchanan Girls High School Volleyball breaks the Dragon's set record this evening but still falls three sets to one.

The Dragons flew past the Bulldogs in the first set, 25-12. The second set tightened the game, with Mid-Buchanan taking it 25-19.

East-Buchanan secured set three, 26-24. This ended Mid-Buchanan Girls Volleyball's consecutive set-win streak at 59.

However, the Dragons ended the match Thursday evening by winning set four, 25-15.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game, and they are our rivals. So I mean, it was a lot of pressure and a lot of us were nervous," Dragon Junior Myla Flinn said. "We just knew that if we played as a team and how we normally play, then we would win."

Head Coach Ron Underwood explained the Dragons' success.

"They just have fun playing. We never, ever put too much pressure on one point. It's just try to see a bigger picture for the whole game," Underwood said. "We know we're going to score, and I mean we got a lot of weapons that can score. And so we don't feel like we're out. And so far, we haven't really been out. "

Mid-Buchanan improves to a 25-0 record with a trip to the Rolla Invitational and a bout with Belle on October 3. East Buchanan is now 16-5-2 and has the Bishop LeBlon Varsity Tournament on October 3, starting with Rock Port.
