Over $500k available for rural health improvement projects in Andrew, Buchanan Counties

MISSOURI (KQTV) -- Through Missouri's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Hub 2, over half a million dollars will go to support projects that improve health outcomes and access to care in rural communities.

The approximately $531,762.78 in discretionary funding is open to organizations in Andrew and Buchanan Counties with a fast-approaching Oct. 14 deadline.

Eligible applicants may include:

  • Healthcare providers
  • Community organizations
  • Schools
  • EMS agencies
  • Pharmacies
  • Behavioral health providers
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Local governments
  • Other community partners

Projects should support one or more of the following community priorities:

  • Behavioral Health Access
  • Maternal Health
  • Diabetes Prevention & Management
  • Hypertension Prevention & Management
  • Transportation and Access to Care

CMS/HHS Funding Disclosure

Mosaic stated that CMS/HHS supports this program under H.R. 1, with 100% of costs funded by CMS/HHS and no non-governmental funding.
