Tracking a sunny and toasty late-week

Sunny skies and above average temperatures will prevail across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas to finish out the work week and start the weekend. Despite early morning lows in the 50s and 60s, afternoon highs will warm into the mid to upper 80s for the next several days. Southwest breezes will pick up Friday and Saturday, sustained at 10 to 15 mph occasionally gusting over 20 mph. The dry and toasty pattern is likely to continue into early next week, before rain chances and more seasonable air return in the extended forecast.
