ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- The St. Joseph School District Board of Education will review the district's facility plan at its October work session.

The Monday, Oct. 12 work session is not a board meeting, so members will not vote on any items.

The board will review the district’s current facilities plan. Each year, SJSD reviews the plan and recommends changes as needed to help ensure its buildings are meeting the needs of students and staff.

The discussion will focus on ways to consolidate, right-size or improve the functionality of school facilities at every level, including elementary, middle and high schools.

The district’s agreement with DLR Group for the facilities planning work totaled $60,000.

Funding for the project has come through donations from the local business community, with contributions received through the SJSD Foundation and Community Alliance.

KQ2 will update the article.
