ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Early voting began in Missouri, as Election Day inches closer.

No-excuse absentee voting, which began Tuesday, Oct. 20, allows Missouri voters to cast ballots ahead of the Nov. 3 general election without having to provide a specific reason for voting early.

Registered voters may cast an absentee ballot in person at the Buchanan County Courthouse, 411 Jules St.

Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon the Saturday prior to Election Day.

The Buchanan County Courthouse will also be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 31 for voting. Voters must present a valid government-issued photo ID.

The last day to vote absentee in person is Nov. 2.

Election Day will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
